Product Review: Ponytail Pal Pig

Disclosure: I received this product for free from Too Scoops Kids as coordinated by Ponytail Pals in consideration for review publication. All opinions are my own.

The Ponytail pals pig was a big hit with my 5 year old daughter. She wanted to use the ponytail holder for everything not just her hair. We began by using it in a side ponytail for a day of shopping, on top of a bun as a decorative piece for cheerleading practice, as a wrist accessory or bracelet when going out or just at home, as an accessory for her american doll because they both have be dressed the same, on a folder for school, etc.

The ponytail holder has many advantages as it is already on a rubber band therefore you only have to use one item to pick up the hair versus using multiple accessories. This is a big advantage when on the go or traveling because having to pack a band to tie the hair and a cute acessory can sometimes be time consuming.

One of my favorite features was the fact that the piggies legs and arms move and it is soft and colorful so it is very child friendly. The only disadvantage I found was that I felt the rubber band was a little too wide to begin with. What I mean is that usually hair bands are a little tighter and begin getting bigger with use. I do not know what will happen in a few months with it being used so much, but maybe I am wrong.

I did think that the moveable joints and soft cosy material was a nice touch; it showed extra work and thought was put into it. As for the future, I know Lia wants to attach it to her bookbag and take off the piggy one day to play with it.

Additionally, I can see it becoming very popular as all her girlfriends on her cheer team wanted to wear one to practice as well.

The ponytail pal is different from others in its craftsmanship. As I stated before details make a difference and this product might just outlast many others. I know my daughter has been using it and playing with it beyond any hair accessory she has.
