Hey TSK Family!! Take a look at my “It’s a Boy!” baby shower over at TheLysiLife! Be sure to leave a comment below and let me know what you think!
We found a beautiful venue with historic roots at The Morris-Jumel Mansion. Upon arriving at the mansion, the guest would be directed to the main lawn where our tented-celebration was being held.
My initial design included an ombré backdrop for the dessert table but, when I came for the final site inspection and saw the sunken garden in full bloom, I knew that backdrop was history. The natural background of the mansion’s sunken garden was simply too gorgeous not to utilize.
Let’s just take a moment to basque in the beauty of this amazing cake created by Laury of There Should Always Be Cake. I think its safe to say we’re looking at perfection. The ruffles and the ombre coloring are beautiful but it’s the fondant succulent that blows my mind. Do you understand what I’m saying? That is not a real succulent people! It’s made of fondant! You can eat that if you wanted too. It almost hurt me that we had to cut and serve it.
The cotton candy favors were the mom-to- be’s suggestion. I found these baby blue cotton candy cones via Etsy (see vendor credits for details) and Caroline over at The Social Spoon designed labels to match the invitation. They were a huge hit!
I was so happy with how these drink dispensers turned out. I absolutely love my cricut explore and anything I make on it always leaves me feeling happy and proud. These vinyl labels were so easy to make and apply, I actually made them the morning of the baby shower.
