I’m not sure why but I’ve always associated baby showers with baby birds, so when one of my clients came to me with an “About to Hatch” theme, I was super excited. I immediately started thinking of baby birds on branches, bird cages, and flowers. Since, the momma-to-be was excepting a baby boy we decided to go with a color palate of peach & light blue with natural accents. Everything came out so pretty and I had such a good time designing this celebration.
The invitations were to be hand delivered instead of mailed which opened the door for a non-traditional shape. My awesome graphic designer, Caroline came up with an adorable square-shaped design and printed it on a metallic card stock that added a beautiful shimmer. The envelopes also had a metallic finish and was adorned with a custom wrapper that tied it all together.
The baby bird sugar cookies were one of my favorite party elements. The only thing these adorable cookies were missing was a nest to sit on. I found some small bird nest at Michaels that were perfect!
I’m still swooning over these centerpieces. The variety of flowers, the bird on a branch, the colors, I loved everything about these beauties.
I’m a huge fan of gable boxes. Gable boxes come in so many sizes and colors and they make the perfect favor box.
